Archie Turns One!

Celebrate your pup's birthday!

Party poppers, balloons, candles and food, lots of it, namely, dog food!
Oh and the cake! (Can any party be without one? )
Especially if the party's meant to celebrate your lil bundle of joy's very first birthday! Cheesy,eh?
Nay.!
Dont we celebrate birthdays? So why not for the dogs? !!

We did a lavish one(pretty much) for Archie! Called his friends over- Bosco, a 9 year-old charming Dalmatian,Scooby, the most well behaved Labrador ever, Sid- tall brown and handsome, an Alsatian, and the subdued, kept-under-covers Pug ! Along came the respective owners(it turned out to be a nice evening for us too!)
without wasting much time, we decided to cut the cake, i did the honors! To our amusement, the dogs  began barking in a rather concordant fashion!
they were served their share of dog food that was ravenously eaten by each of them. Before the thought of eating the thermocol plates entered their minds, we called it a day!
The most interesting part was to see the dogs remain in peace with each other! It was as if they knew why they were invited and that they must display their best behavior! Archie, too seemed to understand that it was his birthday, a brat that he is, he used the situation to his advantage and tried snacking on almost everything his eyes found edible! Right from "The Old Man and the Sea" to our neighbor's pink handkerchief!

Sometimes we run with our tails in the air, the other times we better beware.
It often pays to watch what we say, cause life is fun and changes each day!

Just For You To Know...

The Beagle is a breed of small to medium-sized dog. A member of the Hound Group, it is similar in appearance to the Foxhound, but smaller, with shorter legs and longer, softer ears. Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbit, and other game. They have a great sense of smell and tracking instinct that sees them employed as detection dogs for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs in quarantine around the world. Beagles are intelligent, and are popular as pets because of their size, even temper, and lack of inherited health problems. These characteristics also make them the dog of choice for animal testing.
Although beagle-type dogs have existed for over 2,000 years, the modern breed was developed in Great Britain around the 1830s from several breeds, including the Talbot Hound, the North Country Beagle, the Southern Hound, and possibly the Harrier.
Beagles have been depicted in popular culture since Elizabethan times in literature and paintings, and more recently in film, television and comic books. Snoopy of the comic strip Peanuts has been promoted as "the world's most famous beagle"
